Read reviewBoth put white labeled analytics inside your product. The difference is how far the embed goes, and how much each customer can do once it is there.
Short Answer
Draxlr is an embedded analytics platform for SQL databases and the closest direct alternative to Luzmo for SaaS teams. It covers the same core ground, white labeled dashboards inside your product, multi-tenant data isolation and self-service exploration for your customers. It goes further on embedding depth, because each customer gets their own dashboards, saved queries, a no-code query builder, a SQL editor and an AI assistant, so they can ask questions in raw SQL that nobody modelled for them in advance. Draxlr publishes pricing for all of its embedding plans, bills monthly or annually, and does not charge for the customers who view embedded dashboards. Luzmo publishes one plan, Embedded Everywhere, from €1,995 per month billed annually with adoption-based usage on top.

Embedded Analytics
Embedded analytics means the dashboards live inside the product you ship, under your own branding, with every customer seeing only their own rows. Draxlr and Luzmo both do that properly. They differ in what sits between your database and the embed.
Draxlr embeds directly on top of your SQL database. Nothing is modelled in between, so the tables you already maintain are what your customers explore, and the embed token your backend signs carries the values row-level security applies to every query it runs. Full app embedding then goes past embedded dashboards and gives each customer their own dashboards, saved queries, a no-code query builder, a SQL editor and an AI assistant inside your product.
Luzmo embeds on top of datasets your team models first. Once a dataset exists, its embedded editor lets customers build their own dashboards from scratch with drag and drop, inside whatever you have published to them.
That difference decides most of what follows. Modelling first gives you tight control over the questions a customer can ask. Skipping it means a customer can ask something nobody anticipated, in raw SQL if they want, which is why Draxlr applies tenancy when the query runs rather than at the dataset.
Key Differences
Luzmo is a capable embedded analytics platform. These are the places where teams tell us the fit breaks down, and what Draxlr does differently.
Luzmo gives embedded users a drag-and-drop editor and they can build dashboards from scratch in it. What they cannot do is write their own SQL. Draxlr adds exactly that, so alongside the dashboards you share each customer gets their own saved queries and a SQL editor, with the query builder and AI assistant both platforms offer. The embedding feature page shows how the embed token carries that context.
Both tools keep customers apart properly. Luzmo does it on the dataset, so the filter holds across anything built on that dataset. Draxlr does it when the query runs, using the values your backend signs into the embed token, so the same rule covers dashboards, saved queries, the query builder and the AI assistant. That is what makes it safe to hand a customer a SQL editor, because there is no query they can write that widens their own access.
Luzmo needs datasets modelled before anything reaches a customer, and those models need maintaining as your schema moves. Draxlr queries your tables as they are, so shipping analytics means building the dashboards you want to share rather than first rebuilding your schema as a dataset layer. Add a column and it is already there, for your dashboards and for the customers exploring on their own.
Luzmo charges a platform fee and then scales with adoption, usually measured in monthly active users, so the quarter your product does well is also the quarter your analytics bill moves. Draxlr counts the people on your team. External viewers, meaning everyone who sees a dashboard through an embed or a public link without signing into Draxlr, are unlimited on every plan.
Luzmo publishes one plan and quotes the rest, and because it bills annually, a serious evaluation starts with a sales conversation. Draxlr publishes every embedding plan with its database, user and AI limits, so you can price your rollout before you talk to anyone. The embedded analytics pricing comparison sets both against the rest of the market.
Luzmo keeps private infrastructure behind an enterprise conversation with no published price. Draxlr runs on a dedicated server in the region you choose, or self-hosted inside your own network, on a published Enterprise plan that also brings SSO and audit logs.

Decision Guide
Both platforms embed analytics properly. The right answer depends on where your data sits and how much your customers should be able to do for themselves. If Luzmo is one of several tools on your shortlist, the guide to Luzmo alternatives weighs the rest of the market.
Migration
Because neither tool stores your data, a migration is a rebuild of the presentation layer rather than a data move. Four steps cover it.
Neither tool stores your data, so there is no warehouse to move. Connect Draxlr over read-only credentials to the database Luzmo already queries.
Charts are rebuilt rather than imported. The no-code query builder covers most of them, and the SQL editor takes anything Luzmo was doing in a modelled dataset.
The value your backend puts in a Luzmo embed token is the value Draxlr needs. Pass it through and apply it as row-level security instead of as a dataset filter.
Replace the Luzmo embed with the HTML snippet or the React or Vue SDK. Once it is live you can turn on full app embedding and let customers build their own dashboards and queries.
FAQ
Embedding, multi-tenancy, migration and pricing questions we hear from teams comparing the two.
Yes, for teams embedding analytics in a SaaS product. Draxlr is an embedded analytics platform for SQL databases that covers the same core ground as Luzmo, meaning white labeled dashboards inside your product, multi-tenant data isolation and self-service exploration for your customers. Luzmo gives embedded users a self-service drag-and-drop editor, AI-assisted creation and a conversational assistant, so they can build dashboards from scratch. Draxlr covers the same ground and adds a SQL editor and saved queries for those users, so a customer can ask something nobody modelled in advance, and it publishes pricing for all three of its embedding plans with monthly billing and no charge for the customers who view dashboards. Luzmo remains the stronger choice if you need its plugin API for a data source outside the standard database list, native MongoDB support, or its custom chart framework.
Choose Draxlr if your data already sits in a SQL database and you want customers to explore it themselves, including in raw SQL, on pricing you can read before a sales call. Choose Luzmo if a core data source is not SQL and you need its plugin API, if you run on MongoDB, or if your team would rather model datasets centrally before customers reach them. On the shared ground, white labeling, multi-tenant isolation, a self-service editor and an embedded AI assistant, the two are close enough that the decision usually comes down to those points rather than to any feature gap.
Both platforms embed white labeled, interactive dashboards, Luzmo through web components with React, Vue and Angular wrappers, and Draxlr through HTML, a React SDK, a Vue SDK and a backend API. The difference is what the customer can do once the analytics are in your product. Luzmo gives those customers a drag-and-drop editor in which they can build dashboards from scratch over the datasets your team has modelled. Draxlr's full app embedding gives each customer their own dashboards, saved queries, a no-code query builder, a SQL editor and an AI assistant, with row-level security applied across all of them.
No. Luzmo charges a platform fee and then scales with adoption, commonly measured in monthly active users, so the bill grows as more of your customers open their dashboards. Draxlr counts internal users on your team and leaves external viewers unlimited on every plan, starting with Premium, the first plan that includes embedding. External viewers are the people who see dashboards through an embed or a public link without signing into Draxlr.
Luzmo publishes one plan, Embedded Everywhere, from €1,995 per month billed annually, which is roughly $2,495 per month, plus adoption-based usage charges. It includes white labeling, 500 AI conversations a month and 100 million synced rows a month, with extra rows at €0.25 per million. Draxlr publishes three embedding plans, at $75 per month for Premium, $250 for Power and $500 for Enterprise, billed monthly or annually, with unlimited external viewers on all of them.
Yes. Because both tools query your database directly rather than storing your data, migration is a matter of reconnecting the same database and rebuilding dashboards, not moving a warehouse. Draxlr connects over read-only credentials, so nothing is copied out. Multi-tenant logic carries across as well, since Draxlr takes the tenant identifier your backend already signs into the embed token and applies it as row-level security.
Draxlr connects to PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, PlanetScale, CockroachDB, YugabyteDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Redshift, BigQuery, Supabase, ClickHouse, Databricks and Snowflake, with read-only access and no data copied out of your database. Luzmo connects to common databases and warehouses such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and Snowflake, supports MongoDB natively, and covers anything else through its plugin API.
Yes. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial that includes Power plan features, with no credit card and no sales call, so you can build a working embedded dashboard before committing. Luzmo offers a 10-day trial, but because its plan bills annually, moving to production brings a contract conversation back in.
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. You can run Draxlr on a dedicated server in your preferred region or self-host it inside your private network, alongside SSO and audit logs. Luzmo offers private infrastructure, a custom SLA and source code escrow through an enterprise conversation with no published price.
